本项目选用当时国内最大的116MW热水锅炉，炉型设计采用当时有利于环保治理的循环流化床技术；供热面积1,758x104m²，最大热负荷为1,054.8WM。是哈尔滨市改善环境，提高居民生活质量的重大举措，为哈尔滨市的重点工程。
