北京大学生命科学科研大楼项目建设用地位于北京大学校园内，总用地面积为13,650m²，西北侧远眺博雅塔。用地东侧和南侧有五棵保留的古树，南侧道路为北大东门到图书馆的校园主轴线，是北大校园一重要建筑节点。

建筑以生物实验室和实验平台为核心的生命科学科研大楼，主要功能包含实验室及其辅助用房、办公、会议等，其中包含凤凰平台、核磁共振、电镜室、动物房等特殊使用功能。

项目建设严格控制建筑造价及施工工艺，在创造精品工程的前提下满足业主对使用功能的要求及美观要求。不同以往科研实验建筑耗能多的特点，本建筑采用全新的实验室设计理念与模式，真正实现了生态、绿色、环保实验建筑。同时，建筑适合北京大学及北京城市的城市韵味，产生非常好的经济效益和社会效益。

The construction site of the Peking University Life Science Research Building Project is located on the campus of Peking University, with a total site area of 13,650m², overlooking the Boya Tower on the northwest side. There are five preserved ancient trees on the east and south sides of the site. The road on the south side is the main axis of the campus connecting the east gate of Peking University and the library, which is an important building node on the campus of Peking University.

Life science research building, with biological laboratories and experimental platforms as the core, is the main part of this project. The main facilities of this building include laboratories and auxiliary rooms, offices, conferences, etc., as well as some facilities with special functions: the Phoenix platform, nuclear magnetic resonance, electron microscope room, and animal room.

This project strictly controls the construction cost and technology, and aims to satisfy the owner's functional requirements and aesthetic requirements on the premise of creating high-quality projects. Different from previous scientific research and experimental buildings characterized by high energy consumption, this project, with a brand-new laboratory design concept and model, truly brings about ecological, green and environmentally friendly experimental buildings. In addition, this building, in harmony with the charm of Peking University and Beijing city itself, produces very good economic and social benefits.
