1933老场坊落成时为远东最大的、现代化程度最高的宰牲场。现为上海市第四批优秀历史建筑和虹口区历史遗址纪念地，其保护性修缮工程，遵循“原真性原则(修旧如旧)”、“可识别性原则(新旧分离)”、“可逆性原则”和“安全性原则”等要求，完整地呈现出建筑的历史风貌。改造完成后，目前已经成为上海的时尚活动地。该项目对于近现代优秀历史建筑、工业遗产的保护利用和历史街区的更新进行了积极的探索、并起到了示范作用。

1933 Old Millfun was the largest and most modern slaughter house in the Far East at the time of completion. Now it has been listed into the fourth batch of outstanding historical buildings in Shanghai and listed as the memorial site of Hongkou District historical site. Its protective renovation works follow the principles of "authenticity (repairing old as before)", "identifiability (separating the old from the new)", "reversibility" and "safety" to completely present the historic features of the building. Upon renovation, it has now become a fashion place in Shanghai. The project is an active exploration and demonstration for the protection and utilization of modern and contemporary excellent historical buildings and industrial heritage and the renewal of historical blocks.
