建筑面积4万平方米。该项目是规模最大的中国驻外使馆，代表国家形象，政治意义重大；安全保密性要求高，安检措施严密；建筑设计新颖、现代，建筑平面呈不规则折线形，标高繁多、结构形状复杂；建筑智能化要求高，同时要求耐压等级和抗电磁干扰性好，项目设计技术难度大；施工现场狭小，标段划分多，且无总承包单位，项目管理难度大。项目应用了建设部推广的十项新技术中的26个子项，建成后被称为“最美丽的使馆”。

该项目获全国勘察设计行业第五届优秀工程项目管理金奖及2009年度中国建筑工程(境外工程)鲁班奖。

The project won the Gold Award of Fifth Excellent Project Management of the National Survey and Design Industry and the Luban Award of China Construction Engineering (Overseas Engineering) in 2009.
