吉布提自贸区由招商局和吉布提政府合资兴建，一期工程主要有吉布提国际大厦及国际酒店等项目组成。国际大厦是自贸区乃至吉布提最高的建筑，建筑功能为办公及园区配套服务，一站式服务大厅、银行、数据中心等，在国际大厦楼顶设圆厅，寓意中国之窗，可俯瞰自贸区及吉布提港口，建筑风格体现现代与伊斯兰传统风格的结合。吉布提国际酒店由酒店及公寓组成，共有标准客房77套，公寓78套，采用集装箱装配式建筑方式，体现先进的建造技术及环保理念。

吉布提自贸区的建设意义重大，建成后将成为吉布提发展的新引擎，以及东非地区的金融、航运和贸易中心，以吉布提作为“丝路驿站”试点，为中国产品、产业、服务“走出去”搭建平台，提供全方位支持和服务。

Djibouti Free Trade Zone is jointly constructed by China Merchants Group and the government of Djibouti. The phase I of the Project is mainly composed of the international building and international hotel of Djibouti. The international building is the tallest building in the free trade zone and even in Djibouti. The building functions include office and park supporting services, one-stop service hall, bank, data center, etc. A round hall is set on the top of the international building, which means the window of China. From the top of the building, you can overlook the free trade zone and the port of Djibouti. The architectural style reflects the combination of modern style and Islamic traditional style. Djibouti international hotel is composed of hotels and apartments, with 77 standard rooms and 78 apartments. It adopts the container assembly construction method, reflecting the advanced construction technology and environmental protection concept.

The construction of the Djibouti Free Trade Zone is of great significance. After its completion, it will become a new engine for the development of Djibouti, as well as a financial, shipping and trade center in East Africa. Taking Djibouti as a "Silk Road" pilot, it will build a platform for Chinese products, industries and services to "go global" and provide all-round support and services.
