援赞比亚利维·姆瓦纳瓦萨综合医院项目是在原有一期基础上的改造和扩建项目，也是一所符合该国二级(省级)医院标准的综合医院，同时也是中国援助非洲最大的医院之一。

设计结合当地实际医疗状况与我国援助医疗队的工作模式，专设了妇儿专科、心脏专科、感染专科门诊及碎石治疗等医疗功能。在一期的良好基础上进行全新定位，统一规划设计与功能布局。填补了卢萨卡省二级医院的空白，完善了当地医疗资源的配备，体现了我国援助医疗项目的先进水平，并实现援建医院与援助医疗队软硬件的良好结合，成为了一所功能先进、特色鲜明、体现中国新时期援外医疗新模式的大型现代化综合医院。

在疫情期间，新建的门诊医技楼更是被征用为新冠肺炎定点收治医院，为当地的疫情防控工作做出了出色的贡献，受到当地人民及政府的广泛好评。

China-aided Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital Project is a reconstruction and expansion project based on the phase I. The hospital is a comprehensive hospital which meets the standards of the second level (provincial) hospital in the Zambia, and is also one of the largest hospitals in Africa aided by China.

In combination with the local actual medical situation and the working mode of the medical aid team of China, the design specially provides the women and children specialist, heart specialist, infection specialist outpatient, lithotripsy treatment and other medical functions. Based on the good foundation of the phase I, the hospital has a new positioning, unified planning and design and functional layout. The hospital has filled the gap of the secondary hospital in Lusaka Province, improved the allocation of local medical resources, reflected the advanced level of the medical aid projects of China, realized the good combination of the aid hospital and the aid medical team, and become a large-scale modern general hospital with advanced functions, distinctive characteristics and reflecting the new mode of China's medical aid in the new era.

During the epidemic, the new outpatient medical technology building was awarded as a designated treatment hospital for COVID-19, which made outstanding contributions to the local epidemic prevention and control, and has been widely praised by local people and government.
