援老挝国际会议中心项目，包括1,500人主会议厅，500席首脑会议厅，高官会议厅，双边会谈室，新闻发布厅等主要功能。建筑形象体现老挝建筑特色. 展现传统与现代的融合。遵从绿色环保设计理念，采用现代环保材料，结构形式采用钢结构，结构及建筑装修一体化，采用装配式结构及配件，大量使用生态木装饰材料，美观环保。充分考虑分期建设的特点，在保证整体建筑功能及空间形象完整的前提下，兼顾近期及长期使用需求。

该项目建成后为老挝提供了一座能够承担重大国际会议的场所，具有重大的社会效益及国际影响。尤其是经历了2012年11月第九届亚欧首脑会议的检验，获得了各国首脑的肯定，并成为万象的一个新地标式建筑。

The China-aided Laos International Convention Center Project includes the main conference hall for 1,500 people, the summit hall for 500 seats, the conference hall for senior officials, the bilateral conference room, the press conference hall and other main functions. The architectural image reflects the architectural characteristics of Laos and shows the integration of tradition and modern. According to the concept of green environmental protection design, the Project adopts modern environmental protection materials, and the structural form adopts steel structure. The structure and building decoration are integrated, and assembly structure and accessories and a large number of ecological wood decorative materials are used for beautiful and environmental protection. By fully considering the characteristics of phased construction, the short-term and long-term use needs are taken into account under the insurance of the integrity of the overall building function and space image.

Upon completion, the project has provided Laos with a venue capable of undertaking major international conferences, with significant social benefits and international impact. In particular, the Convention Center has experienced the test of the 9th ASEM Summit in November 2012, won the admiration of heads of state, and becomes a new landmark building in Vientiane.
